It is advisable to take a number of photocopies of your passport with you. During your stay you should carry a photocopy of your passport at all times.

Flights

While there are no direct flights from Dublin to India, Etihad Airways flies from India to Dublin (via Abu Dhabi in the UAE).   Passengers wishing to fly from Europe to India can do so from several cities, including London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Helsinki and Istanbul.
